Obstacle Course Race Training builds complete fitness. Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) requires Endurance, Power, Strength, Agility, Speed, Tenacity & Attitude. In an EDGE OCR workout you will crawl, carry, climb, hang, jump, lift, lunge, pull, push, squat and run. EDGE OCR is Chittenden County’s FIRST Outdoor Obstacle Racing Course Center designed to train beginners and elites for their first or next Obstacle Course Race. EDGE OCR will offer classes, workshops, orientations, as well as one-on-one instruction with Spartan SGX & Spartan SOS certified instructors. Gain confidence at your next race by practicing here! This center is conveniently located at the EDGE of South Burlington – Kennedy Drive, outdoors in a private 12,000 Square Feet space. Teams & Corporations are welcome to sign up for private workouts with instructors to build team morale.

Before Breakfast Bootcamp: Start your day off right with EDGE Master Trainer & Kettlebell Specialist, Spencer Cloutier, and his Monday/Wednesday 6AM Bootcamp. Expect to run, lift, climb & jump!
Spartan SGX Classes: Our SGX coaches are trained to get you from the couch to the race, regardless if you ever choose to do one. This workout will encompass the full range of any Spartan Fit workout, designed for the beginner, you will have so much fun on the obstacles, you won’t even realize you’re getting such a killer workout! You WILL get you over that wall!!
Spartan SGX Family Class: Workout together in a fun and challenging way by crawling, climbing, jumping and running with your kids.
Open Gym: Use your Class Pass for open gym time. Come in and work on your own. We will have a Certified Personal Trainer there to make sure you are safe. 15 participants allowed at one time into workout.
Where to Start
The Obstacle Assessment is about a 60-minute appointment to place you for the Spartan SGX classes we will offer. We have specific criteria to move you from our Beginner Class, to Intermediate and finally our Elite Class. During this time we will also go over all of the obstacles and exercises you may experience in our classes.
Obstacle Workshops will go over anything else YOU want. If you want to spend the whole time on the rope climb, then we will spend the whole time on the rope climb.
