About Kids & Fitness

playspace-blogThe Kids & Fitness program offers a unique childcare experience for children 6 weeks to age twelve. What makes us unique?

In addition to the pre-academic skills and knowledge that children are exposed to, they are able to participate in an extra-curricular activity each day. The specials offered vary based on the location and the facilities available. The specials include dance/creative movement; music; swim instruction; tennis instruction; gym sports; foreign language (French); climbing wall; racquetball; and field house games and sports.

We offer a program in three separate locations; Essex, South Burlington and Williston. Each site has it’s own unique qualities and features based on the individual health club offerings. These facilities include indoor and outdoor play areas that provide opportunities to explore and develop a sense of community.

We hire well-qualified and experienced staff who find pleasure working with children. An emphasis is placed on professional development and continuing education. All staff are First Aid and CPR certified within months of hire.

In addition, the children who graduate from Kids & Fitness make a smooth transition to elementary school. They start school with strong self-help skills, strong problem solving skills and are well adjusted socially. School is an enjoyable place for them and they are used to being part of a community.

The families who are part of Kids & Fitness play a strong role in the program. They are well informed; volunteer for field trips; volunteer in the classroom; help with special activities and work as a team when solving issues. Monthly family events are well-attended and are enjoyed by all.

Our mission is to provide a warm and nurturing environment that allows us to develop a trusting and respectful relationship with your family, fosters the social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of each child and to promote wellness and healthy living.
